Do you know where body fat goes when you “lose” it? It can’t just disappear when your body uses it for energy. Right?? Like when you burn wood, it doesn’t just disappear… it creates heat and smoke, and leaves ash behind. I’d kinda figured burned fat creates energy and gets pooped out.
Turns out, that’s not how it works at all. When fat cells break apart to release energy, they release CO2 and H2O. The evil thing we call fat, is just energy, breath and water. It’s actually a beautiful thing. Ephemeral. Friggin’ Magic.
I like to think about that when I need a reminder that things are way more magical than I expect. The world is a crazy, weird and wonderful place. We often don’t like things just because we don’t understand them. (Even things about yourself.) When you’re annoyed or frustrated, or downright pissed off about something, wonder to yourself what you don’t know. What’s the magic about it?
You may not ever know, but I’d rather be curious than angry. Wouldn’t you? Wonder is wonderful. In fact, it’s my favorite thing to do. Wonder. I wonder how beautiful, powerful, joyful you can be. How loved, loving and lovable you are. Shall we find out together?
