I am unapologetically obsessed with this 3rd Season of Bridgerton, and especially Penelope. In fact, I gotta finish writing this post so I can go binge the rest of it which just dropped today!
Sometimes I have clients say things like "I don't know if these photos look like me-yeee." Or "Gosh, I don't usually wear makeup so can we skip hair and makeup?" OR, "I only like my hair and makeup when I do it."
Friends, you contain multitudes. Penelope grew uncomfortable in her citrus frocks and curly-q hair. She directed a slew of external changes to reflect who she wanted to be. She wasn't there yet. Her first ball with her new look went totally sideways. She doubted and questioned, but ultimately the person she wanted to be looked different from the person she'd been.
You contain multitudes. You can be anyone. But you have to be willing to dress the part.
You have to be willing to see someone different than you're used to, if you're going to be some one different.
