In my opinion, one of the best things about weddings is the amazing dress a girl gets to wear. I haven’t been married so I can only imagine what it feels like to wear a wedding dress for all your friends and family to see. I’ve heard words like “princess” and “queen” thrown around to describe the feeling though. And since I love all thing fancy, it sounds great to me.
For this month’s FANCY Victorian Styled Shoot at the Tapestry House, Dora Grace provided three different wedding dresses! I love when I ask for one and I get three! So let me show off these three gorgeous gowns!
First, Maggie Sottero’s Nicolette dress. It’s all shimmery satin and has a side-hip jewel that shows up beneath the corset back too. I learned that the dress’s asymmetry make it super flattering.
Second is the Benjamin wedding dress by Provonias. Have you seen the photos that Provonias puts out for their dresses? They’re always using these impossibly tall models… I’m sure they’re standing on boxes or something. These girls would have to be like 7 feet tall. Anyway, this Benjamin dress on a real normal-height gorgeous girl is sweet and princessy with all its lace and tulle.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Maggie Sottero Priscilla dress. More queen than princess, this wedding dress is not for the shy. This is a dress for a girl who’s ready to rock her own royal wedding. The bead work is absolutely stunning!
With all of these wedding dresses, we used these adorable Victorian lace-up booties. Perfect for wedding with any sort of vintage feel! There probably aren’t a whole lot of places you can get these, but Mardi at Masonville Mercantile has them!
