Last Thursday was the big night I had procrastinated for for almost three weeks. I put my powerpoint presentation together the day before it was due and practiced once before sending it in. That was Tuesday… I didn’t practice again until Thursday morning, after which I practiced 3 or 4 more times, and then proceeded to panic.
Ignite is a community event that takes place in cities and towns all over the world. The event consists of a handful of 5-minute presentations with topics varying from what to do when Your Mom is on Facebook to How to solve Healthcare. The presenters get 20 PowerPoint slides that advance every 15 seconds on their own. I submitted a presentation, half hoping I wouldn’t get selected. But I did, and now that it’s over, I’m thrilled to have done it. I was a fun night. The presentations were interesting, fun and really well done.

And I’ve had several comments about the dress I wore. Well, it’s a wonderful little number by Denise Gertmenian, my good friend and a super talented fashion designer. See her work at RaeStyle.com.
