I love destination weddings. Your wedding is so special and so spectacular... and travel is so memorable and extra-ordinary that it just makes sense they should go together. It just makes sense that you should get out of your day-to-day routine and go off somewhere special to get married. And so, Katie and Grant's wedding in Steamboat Springs was just like that. Katie and Grant live in Fort Collins and have been together for 10 years. When Grant proposed, Katie gave him a "definite maybe." Ha!
I love that you can see the weather shift in the photos. We started out with a blue sky and got on the gondola down the mountain just as it started raining. I love Katie's gold dress. And her bright, bold bouquet that they made themselves. And obviously the mountain views, the fall trees, the moody clouds.
This past weekend was the last weekend of the year to get married at the top of Steamboat Mountain... and it was absolutely perfect.
