iPhoneography – My Favorite iPhone photos from the last week

People tend to think that since I’m a photographer, I must take my camera everywhere with me. Well, I don’t. My SLR is big and heavy and fragile. And I like to travel light. I don’t even take my whole wallet with me if I don’t have to… much less my camera! AND, I always have my phone with me—my awesome iPhone whose camera is better than the CoolPix I had in 2005.

So here are some of my awesome iPhone photos from the last week:

Happy Spring Equinox!! While I’m sure we’ll get another snow here in Colorado before the warm weather really sets in, I’m happy to see things starting to bloom.

On Friday I had the Fantastic Privilege of meeting Jasmine Star. I mostly bought my ticket to The Fix because it was “good for my business.” I was sure I’d get some good information, but didn’t expect much of Jasmine beyond that. Having lived in NYC, I’ve become the opposite of star struck. I assume anyone with any amount of fame is not interested in the “little people.” And then I saw girls’ conversations on Facebook about what to wear for the event and getting new outfits. Really? For a 3-hour workshop? I can do without the pomp and circumstance. I figured they were young and excitable, and I’m too old and wise for all that. But then I got there. I met Jasmine, I met JD, I met the same girls who had been gushing about their tank tops on Facebook. And they were wonderful. All of them. I apologize for being so judgmental.  And Jasmine Star blew me away with her kindness, generosity, and authenticity.  (I wonder where I was looking off to when this was shot…)

And this is Ira. My former roommate, Abby, is fostering him for the Fort Collins Cat Rescue. Ira is a really long-haired persian, who got the lion-cut last week. He’s an awesome cat – lovely, sweet, adorable. I’d snatch him up myself if we didn’t already have two cats. So if you’d like to adopt him, contact the Rescue. And let me know where I can come visit him. 😉
