We just binged the How to Live to 100 docuseries on Netflix. I highly recommend it! If you’re not into documentaries, just watch the last episode – it sums up the first 3 and draws some conclusions.
One point that struck me was that the 100-year-old shepherd in Italy is not without stress. He might have a sick sheep or argue with his wife. BUT he only has stressors that 1 – temporary and 2 – things he can do something about. He’s not on his phone doom scrolling everyday, and getting stressed about things in the world he can’t control. That constant stress will kill you quicker than chain smoking.*
Whether or not you watch the show, or do any of the things it recommends, just put your phone far away from your body. Take a break from the news. Quit taking crap you can’t do anything about. Save your energy for dream chasing!
