Dylan, age 9, and Jackson, age 10, are a couple of spunky kids who love their mom more than they’d like to admit. Nora was given a gift certificate for portraits with me, and scheduled a session in the park for her and her kids. We walked around, played, chatted and photographed the fun and goofiness along the way. Nora’s mom died a few years ago, and she treasures the photos she has of her. “They can’t be replaced. We can’t make more. Even if they don’t appreciate it now, I want my kids to have lots and lots of photos of me.”
When Nora came in to choose her photos, we designed a lay out for a big wall she has in her home. As I made the finishing touches, Nora said “I think it’s important for kids to see their faces big on the wall. It lets them know that they’re wanted and loved. It helps them feel like they belong here.”
